Yvette Claudine Ngono re-elected as head of Refemac

The Mayor of Yaoundé V, Yvette Claudine Ngono, has been re-elected as President of the Network of Women Mayors of Cameroon (Refemac) for a new five-year term on Thursday 23 July.

The other Women-Mayors and assistants unanimously voted her as their leader during their General Assembly held in Yaoundé.

The former member of the National Assembly and Mayor of the municipality of Yaoundé V since 2002, Yvette Claudine Ngono, épouse Etoundi Ayissi, intends to take advantage of this new mandate to train, inform and communicate with the women mayors of Cameroon especially on information and communication technology.

The network headed by Yvette Claudine Ngono has a total of 205 female incumbent and deputy mayors with a general total of 1301 in the country. In the continuity of her work, the President will be assisted by Denise Fampou, Mayor of Douala II, elected as Vice-President.
