Senegal slave route was Gorée while in Benin it was Ouidah. Two places that slavery left its indelible footprint.

A past converted into a touristic attraction by the two countries, so that no one will ever erase or forget the paths and the suffering of those ancestors swept against their will on these roads of slaves.

In Cameroon, we have Bimbia, our slave route, our very own slave port. A lost Corner in the undergrowth and southwestern history, Bimbia sometimes wakes up for intermittent visitors by far beyond the Cameroonian borders.

To interest locals towards this national treasure, as well as several others like Um Nyobé, Mongo Beti, Foumban, its palace and its Museum of Kings, etc; Yes Africa Foundation has implemented a program: "The Circuits of memory", launched in Douala on September 11. So that the characters and important places of collective memory of Cameroon simple surpassed lines listed in history books or discovered at random more or less extensive readings.

It therefore aims to submerge Cameroonians in the depths of their heritage through travel, 'patriotic tourism', as defined by the leaders of the Foundation.

Organizers explained that the concept of the memory Circuits has as objective to bring together young people with their country's history. Thus, each quarter of the year, an excursion will be organized to enable participants in these trips to visit strong sites of the history and culture of our country.

Tourist guides, upstream and downstream, provided documentary research communication campaign will be tools to enable the public to better understand and control the site-object of the visit which will last for a weekend. And at the end of each season of the concept, a public preview will be organized in a mythical place.
The first excursion themed "Remember Um Nyobé", will take place September 26, 2015 at Eséka. In the program, visiting the tribute monument, a meditation at the cemetery where the nationalist is buried, a meeting with the widow and children, a literary break, etc will be carried out.
