Yaounde: Mokolo gets vigilante group

The Divisional Officer of Yaounde II, Yampen Ousmanou Nji, has installed the vigilante group of the Mokolo neighbourhood.

The D.O. installed members of the group on January 2, 2016, in Yaounde.

Yampen Ousmanou Nji emphasised that the vigilante group will not play the role of forces of law and order but will be on the alert and inform the police of any suspect moves.

The creation of this vigilante group comes after the unrest of January 7, 2016, in the Mokolo market which left many wounded and others looted.
