Two drown in River Meme

The bodies of a man and a teenager who drowned in River Meme, after which Meme Division is named, have reportedly been recovered after weeks of intense search.

Though the conditions under which the two persons drowned remain unknown, many an inhabitant of the area has attributed the tragedy to witchcraft.

Reports indicate that the bodies have been recovered after different deadlines issued by village elders for the payment of fines elapsed.
