Two die in a traffic accident along Garoua-Boulaï - Bertoua highway

The tragedy occurred on the night of 19-20 October at village Ngounte. The populations of Ngounte helped to evacuate the wounded and two bodies of people killed in the fatal accident on the Garoua-Boulai-Bertoua axis.

The two deceased persons are women, unidentified, who were deposited at the mortuary of the regional hospital of Bertoua. According to witnesses, the accident involved a bus from the agency, touristic, from Ngaoundéré , carrying more than 70 passengers.

On the circumstances of this tragedy, survivors, met at the regional hospital, reported that over speed was at the fore front of the accident. The driver reportedly lost control of the steering and found himself out of the roadway. An investigation was opened to determine the actual cause of the accident.
