Thierry Ngongang leaves STV

Thierry Ngogang Editor in Chief of the private television channel STV2 for 11 years has resigned.

Following his resignation on April 24, the Group has appointed Boh Elvis to replace him.

Thierry Ngongang who was the moderator of "Cartes sur tables" and interview "Entretien avec…" according to sources left without any problem. He only stated his reason for resignation as moving on to seek greater challenges in his field of work.

STV2, which is part of the Spectrum Television Group, with the thematic channel STV1 (music and entertainment), has thus appointed Boh Elvis, who was the head of Yaoundé office to date as new editor in Chief. The new appointment took effect April 30, 2015.

Thierry Ngongang joined STV in 2004 as editor in Chief, after three to four years in the private daily Mutations, as head of the service policy.

His replacement was designated this April 30 by an internal note. Boh Elvis (age 27), journalist from the 38th promotion from Esstic until Thursday was Chief of the Yaoundé office.

The native of Njinikong in the Anglophone region of Northwest arrived at STV2 in 2011, after a stay of less than a year at the editorial of the newspaper, ‘l’Action’, property of the Democratic CPDM, ruling party in Cameroon.
