The popular Eldorado Mvog Ada, a snack bar built by the late Jérôme Kamdem, former treasurer of the Tonnerre Kalara Club and founder of the Club of the Mvog-Ada volunteers, is nothing else but a heap of ruins. The building was demolished by a bulldozer September 28, 2015.

The journal Le Jour which published this information on Friday, October 09, 2015, reported that "since the destruction of the building, the people wondered and were surprised to find that the construction of another building took off immediately".

The «Eldodo» (name preferred by some), was not a bar like any other: "this bar was a great cultural venue for us the Mvog-Ada residents.» When the Tonnerre Kalara Club gave us hope more than 20 years ago, it was here that all supporters came to celebrate the victory; even the blessings of our club was done here. Eldorado was not only a place or where you could buy a beer or a plate of pepper soup, in short, the history of the demolished snack bar cannot be told in a few sentences", Jean Mvogo told the journal.

According to Jean Mvogo, "it was a great place for the showcase of Cameroonian cultures, a symbol of national unity. The owner of this bar was not a native of our Department, the Mfoundi, but he worked for the good of our club and for the good of the populations of Yaoundé."

According to the newspaper, "the reasons for the demolition of this mythical bar remain blurred". Whatever it is, El Dorado Bar Mvog-Ada will exist only by its name.
