The University of Yaoundé I, located in the heart of the Cameroonian capital, will receive a 3rd bus powered with electrical energy for the transportation of students and teachers, APA learns from the donor, Bolloré Africa Logistics.

Opened in early May 2014, this service referred to as "Bluebus" works on a circuit of 5 kilometres inside the sprawling campus from 7 am to 9pm.

Since then, the first two Bluebuses, according to official estimates, transports nearly one million passengers, a daily average of 4,000 for 11,700 rotations.

These electric vehicles, entirely produced and financed by the Bolloré group, operate under the design thanks to clean energy produced by solar panels coupled with the electric battery LMP (lithium-metal-polymer).

The solar energy thus captured, is stored by batteries and rendered by day and by night re-energized.
