The security threat that haunts the country leads managers to take extraordinary steps to avoid disaster.

At the entrance of the national television (CRTV) in Mballa II neighborhood in Yaoundé, you must show your credentials to gain access to the building.

The usual security service, which is a secondary army unit for some time, has been reinforced by other men in uniform. Even the employees of the company are scrutinized. Beyond the badge, it is a body search. Vehicles, handbags and briefcases are controlled by these agents of the defense forces.

This control is almost identical to that which any user wishing to access the Radio House must submit. "We are here in a sovereignty company and it is normal that such arrangements are made," an official of the structure said in a relaxed manner.

Also in communication, office building of the Cameroon Telecommunications is also the subject of special attention from the security services. One can see a private guard service and army elements. A source in the company makes us understand that "beyond the visible aspect of the security of members, there is an entire department that operates discreetly and whose members act as shadows." The capital thus splint to put under proper supervision strategic points guaranteeing the sovereignty of the state.

As for the ministries, regular users also go through the same process. At first glance, everything seems normal. And as is customary in these times, it is under anonymity that some security officials confide in fact, special arrangements have been made regarding all public buildings to counter any terrorist hint. "These are discrete devices in order not to give in to psychosis. We remain vigilant about what is happening outside and inside of all these buildings," said a clerk to the task.

Recent attacks in the Far North of the country and especially the rumors of potential targets of terrorist Islamist state in West Africa is leading the Cameroonian authorities to take steps to ensure security for all, everywhere, including in public places. Everyone must remain vigilant for the security of all is at stake.
