Terrorism: A ‘madman’ arrested in Douala

Hassan E, in his fifties and originally from northern Nigeria, was arrested by elements of the Ndogbong gendarmerie, in the middle of last week.

He had two mobile phones (without battery) and two sim cards. He was transferred to the specialized services of the gendarmerie.

According to our sources, the man, dressed like a mental patient (in several dilapidated clothes and dirty hair) had for some time roamed the streets of the Yassa district, not far from the Bocom station, East Exit of Douala. The inhabitants noticed this new company and described him to the police.

Hassan E. was arrested and examined in the relevant departments. These departments had discovered that he was not sick as he made many to believe. He had his face blackened with cooking coal.

The police also found two flags of the neighbouring country on him. For now, it is hard to tell what his true intentions are.

The investigation about him continues.
