Student found dead in her room in Dschang

A young female student was found dead in her room at the Mingo district in the town of Dschang, Western Region on the evening of October 19, 2014.

She was found by her elder sister who had just returned from a funeral ceremony in their village, Bansoa.

Nicaise had recently moved in with her family in Dschang after having obtained her baccalauréat at Bansoa, a nearby village. Neighbours were shocked as no one could explain the cause of her death. One of them said that, they had last seen the deceased on Tuesday. "She was not very talkative, I do not know whether she was ill or not", she revealed.

The family and neighbours waited for the arrival of the police before conveying the body to the morgue. They remain in hopes that the police investigation will help uncover the actual cause of her death.
