Student arrested with automatic pistol on Campus

An upper sixth student of Government Technical High School (GTHS) Bali was recently detained by the gendarmes for illegal possession of an automatic five round pistol fully loaded with 8 spare bullets.

The student whose name was withheld by the school authorities was only discovered when a discipline master carried out a surprise check on his school bag at the school gate when he noticed on several occasions that his small bag was always over loaded and he used to carry some exercise books in his hands which would have normally fit into the bag.

When questioned by the school authorities, the student said the gun belonged to his late father a retired military officer. The mother was called in for further investigation to collaborate his story. The boy was handed over to security officials who are still keeping him for further investigation.
