Soldier shoots civilian over girlfriend in Kolomine

Corporal Atjem Edmond, a soldier, fired seven bullets at Hamboa Pierre, a 24-year-old man following a fight in a tavern on the night of June 7 in Kolomine Ngoura district, department of Lom and Djerem.

Knowing the gravity of what he has done, the criminal took to his heels but was caught by police detachment elements in the mining area. He was subsequently handed over to the Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade of Ngoura where he awaits his fate.
