Senators call population to fight incivility

The senators urged the population during a meeting between senators and the authorities in Douala.

According to Fritz Ntone Ntone the main opponent of development in Douala is urban disorder: traffic, construction, wild shops, traffic violation of the highway code "This mess is the order of day in Douala and it is what we all face.", he said.

It was also observed that it is not the people whose uncivil behavior is alarming. Sellers of cheap goods, motorcycle drivers by-pass the established norm by installing themselves on the outside markets. Even worse, said Mr. Ntone Ntone, when the authorities want to put "order, they intervene to stop the process.

Douala tomorrow indeed intends to be a competitive economic space (in competition with cities across national borders) and thus capture the maximum amount of foreign direct investment in the region.

There is the need for a law that will facilitate the implementation of the tasks of municipal police, finally argued the Government delegate. Thus, Senators responded through their spokesman, David Siegfried Etamé Massoma.

It is an important responsibility that lies with the managers of the city, he said, reassuring their first guests to their availability to discuss and find appropriate solutions from the field.
