Nearly two thousand scholarships from FCFA 25 000-100 000 were distributed to deserving students in Ndé Division, reported the daily Le Jour in its edition of Friday, October 23, 2015.

The scholarships were presented to the students during the 11th edition of the academic excellence festival. For the occasion, the elite of the Division mobilized FCFA 24 million for 303 young people of this locality.

Among the happy winners was Lucretia Ngante Kapnang of the Bangangté Classic High School. She won the Palme d'Or of this 11th edition thanks to her average of 14.57 obtained in bacc C. "I am very happy to receive the prize but I would like to thank the teachers who gave us the basics we needed for success," she said.

The mayor of the municipality of Bangangté, Celestine Courtes Ketcha, adviced the children of his city to "work harder". This was once again an opportunity for me to advice the young girls to put in more hard work in the scientific fields and to be able to overcome challenges, like Lucretius Ngante Kapnang," he said.

According to Professor Petang, through debt academic excellence, "it is left for us to create a healthy competition among children, especially among girls through discipline and respect for work."

As a bonus, all those admitted at the Ecole Nationale Supérieur of Yaounde, received a bonus of FCFA 100,000, offered by the President of the Senate, Marcel Niat.
