SDO throws weight behind new Fako Chiefs Executive

The Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, Zang III, has said the new executive bureau of the Fako Chiefs Conference can rely on his service in the execution of their functions as custodians of the people.

Zang III was speaking last Friday August 29 at the conference room of his office during a visit by the Fako Chiefs Conference Executive members.

The aim of the visit was to present the executive members to the Senior Divisional Officer.

Speaking during the presentation, the current president of the Fako Chiefs Conference, HRH Chief Mokoto Njie Johannes, thanked the SDO for accepting to receive them, despite the very short notice.

He said his team was elected last August 14, 2014 in Muyuka after a meeting in which they decided to condemn any group of persons preaching Xenophobia and destruction.

He went ahead to present the various members of his executive committee in their various functions.

In his response, the Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, called for unity and peace amongst the chiefs and their subjects.

Zang III said, Fako is a very juicy, important but sensitive Division hence they must stand as one to protect it.

He called on the Chiefs not to fail to report to him on any worrisome issue so that dialogue can be promoted.

Zang III said because of the loyalty to the administration, he will throw his total support behind them as long as they decide to live in mutuality and solidarity.

Speaking to the press at the end of the presentations, the President of the Fako Chiefs Conference, Chief Johannes Njie Mokoto, said, their plan of action is to assist the administration in maintaining peace and unity in Fako Division.

He said some people are trying to preach disunity amongst the people but insists that as a body it will be their priority to bring development to the Division, adding that, “Development is our watch word”
