Programme for training on transfer of skills launched in Dla

The national Programme of training in cities has just been introduced in Douala.

To offer a better quality service to the people, personnel of municipalities and municipal magistrates need to hone their skills in various areas, especially regarding the transfer of skills.

It is for this reason that the national training Programme in cities is being carried out in the 10 regions.

According to its Coordinator, Leonard Emmanuel Nick Bomba, it involves collecting reliable data on the nature, quality and quantity of the needs, in order to develop an appropriate plan and a training kit adapted to the requirements of time.

After Yaoundé and Bertoua, it was the turn of the mayors of the municipalities in the Littoral region and delegates in Nkongsamba and Edea urban communities to familiarize themselves with this new concept.

For John Mbinji, Mayor of Edea 2 rural town, 'this is a programme that is timely, an important boost for our staff. "With the transfer of skills we hope to experience the outcome of this project in no time.

According to Jacques Maboula, Mayor of the Yabassi rural community, "the program is important for delivery to staff within the framework of their skills level. In addition, it is beneficial for populations in the development of our municipalities.

Throughout the awareness campaign, participants were erected on the program itself, history, objectives, the types of training offered, the themes, the conditions of access etc.

First courses start January 2015. Two administrations, Minatd and Minduh are partners in the project, as well as Feicom and the Association of United municipalities and towns in Cameroon.
