Private Higher Institutions meet Logmo Mbelek

CUIB was host to a meeting with Dr. Logmo Mbelek Aaron, from the Ministry of Higher Education last weekend to discuss the aim of the upcoming meeting with private higher institutions of learning in the South and North West Regions of the country.

According to Dr. Logmo Mbelek Aaron, Academic Inspector Number 4, the Ministry is interested in finding out from the institutions the problems they face so as to brainstorm on possible sustainable solutions to these problems.

He further mentioned that, meeting these institutions is a good way to assist them grow.

Enlightening members from some of the higher institutions in Fako Division, Dr. Logmo gave an overall summary of the just ended 2 day workshop with private higher institutions of learning in the Littoral region on the same reason; identifying problems and seeking possible solutions.

Members at the meeting came from St. Francis Higher Institute of Nursing and Midwifery, Higher Institute of Technology, Higher Institute of Applied Medical Sciences, CUIB all in Buea and Redemption Higher Institute of Bio-medical Sciences in Muyuka.

Participants left the meeting targeting planning sessions to prepare for the main event which comes up later this month to be hosted in CUIB. CUIB was represented by the President, the Provost, the Vice President for Exams and Records Dr. George Atem and the Director of External Relations and Corporate Affairs, Fr. Leonard Ekwelle.
