The Douala II gendarmerie branch in Ndogbong arrested three suspected criminal gangs a few days ago, according to sources.
The first gang was arrested on the night of August 5, 2015, while on a robbery exercise in a snack bar at a place called “Nouvelle route cité". According to Cameroon Tribune, they were arrested thanks to the intervention of the police and the inhabitants.
The second gang, specialized in the theft of two-wheeled vehicles, was arrested on drug offense. They were caught in the act near the old Sitabac factory (tobacco manufacturing plant). It was also discovered that the group stole a bike and sold it for 30 000 FCfa, reported the newspaper.
The third gang had stolen the weapon of a Cameroonian army officer in June. Investigations were opened and a member was caught in Kye-Ossi as he tried to enter Equatorial Guinea.
