Over 60 students wounded in a clash at Nkoabang Government High School

This incident occurred 3rd March 2015 in a clash between students and school authorities of Government High School Nkoabang.

Eye witnesses testify that this terrible incident occurred when the school principal attempted to punish some students by asking them to stay away from class for failing to buy certain books recommended by the school.

Despite all the warnings received, some students forcefully paved their ways into campus when suddenly went into a tussle with their authorities as they have refused to understand why they should be kept out of class for a lack of certain books.

The clash led to the breaking down of some school property resulting to the trampling down of over 60 students.

The battle was finally halted by a quick intervention from the fire fighting brigade who despatched the more than 60 injured students for medical attention in private medical centres and the Yaounde Central Hospital.

According to reports, injured victims together with five of their parents who had collapsed in the course of receiving the bad news, are presently responding positively to medical treatment.
