Over 1,500 birth certificates distributed in Baka

500 children aged zero (0) to 18 years received from his Excellency René Cremonese, High Commissioner of Canada to Cameroon, 500 birth certificates on 22nd February.

On 23rd February, he also visited Lomié district in Haut-Nyong where more than 1,000 children received this precious document at the end of the two separate ceremonies.

Ultimately, a total of 1,558 birth certificates were thus distributed in Mindourou commune, in the Borough of Lomié.

In this journey, the Canadian diplomat was accompanied by administrative, traditional and municipal authorities.

This undertaking, the establishment of birth certificates in Baka children was funded by the Canada Fund for local initiatives, through the NGO 'Cuso International' also supported by the association "Wings of hope of Cameroon."
