Orange Foundation organises training session for deaf children

A training session for deaf children was held Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Douala.

A training session based on "communication with deaf" includes the Cued speech (CPA). The CPA is actually a technique of expression and communication that is to accompany the word of small movements of the hand near the face.

The objective of this training initiated by Orange Cameroon Foundation in partnership with the Association of hearing impaired parents and language in Cameroon is to create a link to break the isolation of those with communication disorders, consolidate, emotional balance, cognitive and relational families living with a deaf child and promote psycho physiological wellness among fathers, mothers, parents in care of a deaf child.

For persons with disabilities facing every day marginalization, illiteracy and discrimination "with these realities and mindful of its responsible social commitment, Orange Cameroon has listed as one of the fundamental missions of its corporate foundation, to assist in the communication when the disability makes it difficult," said Elisabeth Ehabe, Orange Cameroon philanthropy foundation.

Health is a central component of the telecommunications business activities of Orange Cameroon. Its involvement in this area of work has also won them the Palme d'Or Health Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in 2014 in Cameroon.
