Nlata-mu-Nlung donates to Bilingual School in Muangwekan

The campus of the newly-created Government Bilingual Secondary School Muangwekan, in Bangem Subdivision of the South West Region, witnessed an unprecedented turnout recently at the donation of office equipment by “Nlata-mu-Nlung”, a linguistic and development-oriented association of sons, daughters and wives of Elung clan who reside in Yaounde.

Parents, students and administration of the subdivision came to witness the donation by “Nlata-mu-Nlung”. The donation comprised of stationaries, office furniture and didactic materials were handed over to the school authorities in a ceremony chaired by Divisional Officer of Bangem, Jean Baptiste Ntse Andjojo, in the presence of the Mayor of Bangem, Ekuh Simon Ojeh.

While handing over the gifts worth over FCFA 700,000, the Vice President of “Nlata-mu- Nlung”, Dr. Napoleon Epoge said the gesture was aimed at not only supporting government’s initiative of promoting education in the Elung community, but also to give the kids back home the same education facilities kids in the cities have for better results to be attained.

Both the Divisional Office and Mayor of Bangem, the Principal of the college as well as the traditional ruler of Muangwekan village, Chief Palle Andrew, expressed gratitude to the gesture and encouraged the association to extend their largesse to other needy development worries of the clan.

It should be noted that “Nlata-mu-Nlung” in Yaounde which is led by Mr. Mbong Michael Mbine, earlier in 2011 donated a similar consignment of office equipment and didactic materials to GSS Muabi, still in the Elung Clan of Bangem Subdivision.
