Moloundou municipal executives elected

Jean Richard Allo and his two deputies were elected after an election held on June 11.

The vacancy in the Moloundou Municipal Executive in the Department of Boumba and Ngoko in the Eastern Region is is over after the death of the incumbent mayor, Jean Jacques Ipando, from illness on March 4 at the Hospital of the CNPS in Yaoundé. He spent twenty years as the mayor including his two deputies.

According to the law N ° 2004/018 of 22 July 2004 applicable to the municipalities, the prefect of Boumba and Ngoko, Leonardo Bello, held on 11 June in the halls of the acts of the municipality, the elections in the Municipal Executive with 25 councilors involved. Thus putting an end to the vacancy that lasted three months, the new executive will henceforth be led by Jean Richard Allo, who was until this election the 1 st deputy since the elections of September 2013.

In reality, nothing new has to be put in their mouths for as the counselors wanted in a petition to the Prefect Leonardo Bello in April, they had set their sights on the elected after clearly demonstrating his willingness to end his term as an interim holder. But as the law requires, there must be an election which turned in his favour.

This was confirmed with a result of 24 votes out of 24 as 100% of votes. Having given up his place, his position was also open. It was succeeded by Marcel Ekangamba, the only candidate, who also had 100% votes as 1st deputy mayor.

Only the post of the 2nd Deputy was not open for the defending chair, Ms. Ngolla Epse Asso Pulchérie, who remained in office.

The new executive intends to make decentralization an opportunity for the development of the city rich in potential. The Prefect Leonardo Bello, who upheld the relevant provisions, welcomed the democratic spirit that has characterized all municipal advisors throughout the process.

According to the law, they will be installed soon by the Prefect Leonardo Bello, representing guardianship.
