Man attempts murder in Ekona

A man whose name The Post got as Fahis Fon reportedly attempted to kill his girlfriend and another man with a machete because he saw her cooking in the other man’s house.

The incident occurred recently in Ekona, Southwest Region.

Fon explained that, within the two years he has been living with Hannah, his girlfriend, she has caused him a lot of trouble and made him look like a fool among his peers in the neighbourhood.

“Hannah has been keeping late nights, flirting around and has also been disrespectful lately. I have been ignoring all of that because of my love for her. I gave her money to start up a business which she did and it has been very helpful to the family”.

In the morning, Fon continued, Hannah went to the market while he(Fon) went to the farm. Upon her return from the market, Hannah is said to have dropped the foodstuff she bought in Fon’s house, without cooking them and headed directly to her lover’s house whose name this reporter only got as Samuel. There, Hannah settled to prepare food for Samuel.

“When I returned from the farm, I noticed that my girlfriend was not at home. When I asked about her whereabouts, I was told by her friend that she went to Samuel’s house,” Fon narrated.

He said on hearing that, he immediately took out his machete and headed straight to Samuel’s house and was prepared to kill them.

When Fon arrived at Samuel’s house, Samuel tried to explain something to him but he raised his machete andalmost chopped off Samuels arm, leaving a deep wound. Samuel was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by onlookers.

Meanwhile, Hannah was seriously beaten by Fon to the point that she collapsed and was also rushed to the hospital.

After regaining consciousness, Hannah said that Fon has molested and treated her poorly. She explained that she went to Samuel’s house to help him prepare his food because he (Samuel) was not feeling well; that, unfortunately, Fon misunderstood it.

Samuel, on his part, claimed that he had no other intention but that Hannah should cook for him.
