Les Brasseries leads end-of-year festivities with ‘Christmas For All’

The leading brewery Industry in Cameroon, Les Brasseries du Cameroun, has taken the lead with a special end-of-year programme dubbed “Christmas for All.”

The special nine-day programme, which is underway at the Brasseries Complex, Buea Road in Mutengene, according to one of the officials of Brasseries, Andre Nkem, is an annual programme organised by the citizen-friendly company, to say “thank you” to the friends, partners, consumers, the internal and external publics of the company, for their commitment and loyalty to Brasseries in the course of the year.

Apart from appreciating the fidelity of the clients, Les Brasseries du Cameroun is also using the programme to reaffirm the company’s determination and commitment to serving the interest of its clients better in 2015.

Unlike last year, when the programme lasted for about six days, this year, officials of Les Brasseries decided to extend it to nine days in order to better commune with the company’s clients and touch all the segments of the society.

On Saturday, December 6, hundreds of people thronged the Brasseries Complex at Buea Road in Mutengene during the opening ceremony of the nine-day programme.

Though this first day was dedicated to all social groups in the Southwest Region and beyond, individuals of the general public equally joined in savouring, not only the beautiful performances from the social groups, the soul-touching music from the Brasseries orchestra, the cold and irresistible thirst of 33 Export that was the sponsoring brand on Day One, but also to play various games which were put at the disposal of the public with encouraging prizes, free gifts of gadgets, among others.

On Sunday, December 7, the Brasseries Complex at Mutengene was transformed into the cultural hub of Cameroon as traditional dance groups drawn from all the 10 regions of the country took to the stage. Through these dance groups, Les Brasseries du Cameroon brought Cameroon’s cultural diversity together and preached peaceful coexistence, national integration and unity.

Another pertinent issue which Les Brasseries has brought to the fore at the Mutengene ‘Christmas for All’ programme is religious tolerance. On Monday, November 8, choral groups drawn from various religious denominations converged on Mutengene and thrilled friends and customers of Les Brasseries with their angelic voices. Apart from competition in choral singing, the officials equally tested these denominational groups in Bible Quiz.

Students are not left out of the ‘Christmas for All’ event. The students have been taken out of their regular routines and tedious school activities to a more relaxed atmosphere. However, the students will have to show their worth of what they have been studying since the resumption of the 2014/2015 school year, when their intelligence and retentive memories will be tested by officials of Les Brasseries.

Other activities that have been taking place at the special ‘Christmas for All’ Programme include; fashion parade, tug of war, football among others.

Grand Finale Built For December 14

According to Andre Nkem, the special ‘Christmas for All’ will end on Sunday, December 14, with a grand concert. The event, which will be presided over by the Governor of the Southwest Region, Bernard Okalia Bilai and other top administrative and municipal officers, will bring together renowned Cameroonian artists like Dina Bell, Narcis Pride and others and will have Kevin Njomo as the guest of honour.

FCFA 5.3 To Be Given Out As Prizes

Meanwhile, Andre Nkem disclosed that Les Brasseries has made available FCFA 5.3 million to be given out as prizes to individuals and groups that have distinguished themselves throughout the special programme. This, he said, falls in line with the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility of giving back to the population. He said, next year, the programme will be organised in Kumba, Meme Division of the Southwest Region.
