Kumba HTTTC suffers fire outbreak

There was a fire outbreak in the administrative block of the newly created Higher Technical Teachers Training College, HTTTC, Kumba recently. The fire, which reportedly sparked in the early hours of that Thursday, partially razed the ceiling of the Deputy Director’s office.

Eyewitness accounts hold that, it took the intervention of some HTTTC staff on duty to put out the fire; otherwise it would have engulfed the entire building.

The Director of HTTTC Kumba, Prof Joyce Bayande Endeley, told The Post that the fire might have resulted from frequent power outages.

Endeley further said that everybody was on duty when the fire sparked from the ceiling. She regretted the loss of time which could have been used efficiently.
