Hostel for the Fiftieth anniversary underway

The work was launched for the first quarter of 2015, according to the delegate of the government at the urban community of Douala.

The hostel for the Fiftieth anniversary will be built on the current site of cité des Douanes, Njoh Njoh street in Bonapriso, district of Douala II. This was a principal information from the meeting held Thursday between SG of the ministry for the urban Development and the Housing (Minduh) Ahmadou Sardaouna, the government delegate at the urban Community of Douala (Cud), Fritz Ntonè Ntonè, the representatives of the Customs and those of the Land register.

After many incomprehension, concerns were dissipated and a solution found by the parties. Another ground was allotted to the direction Customs, in New Bell TSF, also in Douala II. The inhabitants of cité des Douanes must as fast as possible release the places so that work can begin.

The two years equivalent of rent was given to each occupant to find another housing now "that a final solution was found. Work itself will start in the first quarter of 2015, the financings are available since more than one year", specified Fritz Ntonè Ntonè.

According to the presentation of the cabinet of studies in load of the plans, the Hostel for the Fiftieth anniversary is composed as follows: a block of 7 stories, a garden, a mini sport hall, shopping centres and a basement of several stages for the car park.

A turn on around Bonapriso in last weekend made it possible to note that the inhabitants still occupied the places. Some nevertheless have removing their things from theresidences, while others continue to play a little the cat and mouse.
