The sub-prefect of the Mbé district said, a phone call confirmed the arrest of women and the death of the guide.

"They did not have their identification cards. By order of the Regional Delegate for National Security, the bus and its occupants were conveyed to Ngaoundere. I can’t tell you more about the arrested women and the man. We know they are from Nigeria and they speak Kanuri”, said the sub-prefect of Mbé.

According to him, the guide who was a smuggler was in bad shape. After which he informed the public prosecutor of Ngaoundere court about the issue, visited the premises of the regional division of the judicial police and also went to Mbé Medical Center to verify the death of the guide.
