A workshop on the capitalization of knowledge of these producer associations was held for 3 days in Yaoundé.

The sub-regional platform of farmers' organizations of Central Africa (Propac) in collaboration with the Pan African farmers’ organization (Pafo) organized a workshop funded program to support farmer organizations in Yaounde.

The meeting brought together for 3 days, members of various peasant organizations (Op) in Africa and Asia. Its main objective was to make a mid-term evaluation of the functioning of farmers' organizations in both continents.

It appears from discussions and exchanges of members that peasant organizations have evolved and are also structured. Members received adequate training while peasant organizations were strengthened institutionally, recruited staff, acquired managerial skills and technical managements of their group.

In the opinion of the President of the National Consensus farmers' organizations of Cameroon (Cnop-Cam), Elizabeth Atangana, regarding the country, the farmers' organization has made significant progress; it also has an office and a website.

More importantly, the Cnop-Cam participates in the space of a decision taken in the agricultural sector. The association is involved in the steering committee of agricultural projects for the development of agricultural policies.

The main purpose according to the organizers of this workshop is that it makes them stable and efficient, transparent, able to represent their members effectively.
