FCFA 30 million to save a school in Bonapriso

Fundraising for this public institution began Sunday with a "lunch party".

Of the FCFA 45 million expected to rehabilitate the old boys’ school in Bonapriso, the association "Soleil partage" has already collected 30 million. This "lunch party" was organized last Sunday, during which it received in-kind donations and pledges. Soon, old buildings visible on the site will be a distant memory.

The town of Douala 2nd arrondissement, on the territory of which is the said school pledged a contribution of FCFA 25 million. Other people gathered FCAF 5 million.

According to the association, the sum will allow them to initiate priority work by the beginning of July. These include the rehabilitation of toilets, construction of the roof, the classrooms, the fence and repainting.

For the president of the association "Soleil partage," Diane N'Thépé, the "lunch party" of June 14 was to sensitize the authorities in charge of education and sensitization, so that the property is taken care of in the coming year.

More than 250 people responded to the call of the association. Regarding in-kind donations, including building materials, a store was opened in the school.
