Educational facilities handed to Nyong-and-Mfoumou

It was in a festive atmosphere that the embattled population in the Department of Nyong-and-Mfoumou received, gifts offered by the president of the Association for the development of Nyong and Mfoumou (Adenym), Robert Nkili, Minister of transport last Wednesday.

For this school year, the kit consists of five classrooms rehabilitated to the mixed school level and one hundred desks and teaching materials as a minimum package for all schools, public and private making seven nursery schools, thirty-nine primary schools and eight secondary schools. The presentation was done in the presence of the Secretaries of State for Basic Education, Benoît Ndong Souhmet and secondary education, Caleb Foutsou.

The various speakers agreed that the quality of education depends on the quality of infrastructure and school equipment. And it is for this reason that the officials in charge of education welcomed the action of benefactors. Recipients were advised to maintain infrastructure and equipment in good condition.

The entire educational community did not hide their joy even if the lack of teachers were noted. Robert Nkili said that the action falls within the framework of "the continuation of a process that began in the capital of the Department and which is called to grow in other locations of Nyong and Mfoumou.

It is a dynamism of support of the elite of this school Nyong-and-Mfoumou Youth Department. The next step as announced is in the District of Martin.
