Drinking water made available to 6,000 people in Bouba

The community of Bouba, comprising four villages (Bouba I, II, II et Bouba-Penja) straddles the commune of Njombe-Penja, in the Mungo and Tombel in Kupe-Muanenguba now has access to drinking water.

Since Friday, December 19, after the rehabilitation of Scan Water, out of service for 25 years, some six thousand residents of this community again had access to drinking water.

According to Armel François, DG of the Haut Penja plantation (Php), this network service restoration cost 19.8 million francs to the company. In the end, this project led to the restoration of production infrastructure, which has an average flow of 20 m 3 per day, the installation of 20 fire hydrants on the entire network, the recruitment and training of 20 artistry, two technical staff trained for the maintenance of the water infrastructure, etc.

"It is the culmination of a long process. It is an innovative approach. "We thank the Government which, through the Ministry of water and energy, allowed by 2013 this project," said Armel François. The Dg of the Php also thanked project partners, including the NGO Agro-Pme.
