Danpullo fails to smuggle Esu youth leader to Ndawara

There has been tension in Esu of late and the past few days things are taking a different Twist.

Reports from Esu say Baba Ahmadou Danpullo has been spending sleepless nights as he is very disappointed that all his plans to infiltrate and destabilize Esu and the Royal Family imparticular continue to leak and fail woefully.

Baba Danpullo is putting enormous pressure on his Manager Sally to do everything possible to bring the very committed Esu Youth Leader (Philip Abue) to Ndawara for a tête-à-tête.

According to a source, on the night of January 16, when everyone else was asleep in Esu, a bike came into Esu to transport the Youth Leader to Wum the capital of Menchum where Sally, Danpullo's manager was waiting with a car to take him to Ndawara.

Our source said the Youth Leader refused to betray their course by turning down the invitation to accompany Sally.

As news of this development was going on, many questioned the very essence of Baba Danpullo's invitation.

Two Esuian talking to alafnet.com lamented the fact that Ndawara is noted for inviting people who stand against him and torture them. They stressed that if the youth leader was a Muslim they would have suspected that he was going to face trial in Ndawara’s Alkali Court.

A personal Sharia court he illegally established and operated in his private premises to ‘try’ Mbororo herders including justification for illegal confiscation of their cattle says international human right organizations and US state department.

A testimony by Ardo Duni Buba from Bamuka-Ndop said in 2011, "My two sons Adamu Dohma, Mallam Dewa, and I were arbitrarily arrested, tortured, detained and money extorted from us by the Ndawara alkali Court acting on orders of Baba Ahmadou Danpullo.

He continued, "Before our arrest, during a public meeting in Ndawara in March 1993, Baba Ahmadou Danpullo declared that he has banned MBOSCUA a cultural association to which we belong. One Friday evening, at 6.30 pm, two men came to my compound and handed me an envelope addressed to me and stamped ‘Alhadji Baba of Ndawara’.

"In the envelope was a threatening convocation requesting me and my two sons; Adamu Dohman and Mallam Dewa to report at Ndawara Alkali Court the following day Saturday at 8 am. The convocation was signed by the Alkali but bearing the business stamp of Alhadji Baba.

"Once there, I was detained without charge while my son Mallam Dewa was instructed to produce his brother Adamu Dohma before 6 pm same day else both of them will pay 150,000FCFA each for coming late.

He left Ndawara via Ndop and hired a vehicle to Nso. He succeeded in returning to the Ranch with his brother at 6.30pm but they were both fined 80,000FCFA for being 30 minutes late.

Our arbitrary arrest and illegal detention

All three of us were locked up in a shipping container until Monday.
When we were brought out of our ‘cell’ and taken to the ‘Court’ and the following charges were read out to us: Ardo Duni – you initiated the creation of an Islamic School in your premises without the authorisation of Alhaji Baba Ahmadou Danpullo. This was construed as an offense against Alhadji Baba of Ndawara in Boyo Division amongst others.”

During the court session, Alhadji Baba sat in his house and there was an intermediary who took information to and from him to the court. As such, all the charges against us and the penalties came from the almighty Alhadji Baba Danpullo.

We were also told that no Appeal or Supreme Court can rule against the decisions of Alhaji Baba’s Alakli Court and they can pass life and death sentences with no one to stop them. By this definition we think Ndawara is a state within the State of Cameroon," they concluded.

Meanwhile, Dze Usu has reacted bitterly to this recent event and said "the entire Esu have granted our legal team the complete Power of Attorney concerning their land issue. Usu will use every bit of their energy to contest any arrangement carried out in the absence of our attorney and we are prepared to do this in the highest court of the land (and even internationally if Cameroon fails us).

We hereby send a final warning to Sally to immediately stop intimidating and harassing our youth leaders for we have gathered enough evidence against him and we shall not hesitate to press charges against him. Also, if anything, whatsoever happens to the health & life of the youth leader Muabe Philip Abue (or any member of his family), the entire Esu population shall hold them responsible and we shall hunt them to their graves.”
