Councilors demand the resignation of Bibemi mayor

Councilors before the national president of the UNDP, Bello Bouba Maigari, and the prefect of the Benue, Mohamadou Haman, demanded the resignation of Bibemi mayor, Yirema Hairou.

"We won by luck because the CPDM candidate was disqualified in our borough elections. Then we found it useful for Yirema to head the management of the county, but he immediately disappointed us as we just started our mandate. We are accountable to our constituents and activists of our party," said one of the advisers. "He disburses millions into the coffers of the town without a regular or special board. He only wishes to involve councillors in the management of the common fund," complained another advisor.

Party Garoua on Saturday, November 8 met on the fiscal council of the town of Bibemi, the prefect of the Benue was shocked by the position of councilors of Bibemi.

"There will be no fiscal council Mr. Prefect, we are determined this time. The Mayor should resign, we want an extraordinary council to remove the mayor by law. 29 of 41 councilors have signed up for the sack of the Mayor," said the Prefect advisors.

The prefect of the Benue spent nearly 4 hours in talks with advisers to accept the holding of the fiscal council of their community. Unfortunately for the land chief, councilors remained indifferent to the negotiations of the Prefect.

Before leaving Bibemi, the prefect gave a week to advisers for them to return to the best feelings with the Mayor for the fiscal council be held.
