Cavaye Yeguie Djibril donates an ambulance in the Far North

The municipality of Tokombere received a donation in the form of an ambulance from the president of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.

According to CRTV, which broadcasted the information in the Wednesday 8am newscast, this ambulance was presented to alleviate the suffering of inhabitants who were sometimes forced to make use of motorcycles or transit vehicles for the evacuation of patients.

The Mayor of the municipality of Tokombere located 40 km from Maroua, her Majesty Boukar Tikire, stated that this gift is a sign of relief and promised to make good use of it. "I'm very touched by this gift. Well, we're going to maintain it so that it can serve the whole of the population,” she said, before adding that "we have an administrative garage which will make regular maintenance on this vehicle.

For the prefect of Mayo Sava, Babila Akaou, this social act goes a long way to lengthen the long list of the works of the president of the National Assembly in the Borough of Tokombere and in the Department of Mayo-Sava, in the region of the far North. Babila Akaou said he was carried away with a sense of "satisfaction of recognition to this elite who strives every year to make gestures to the benefit of the population. The prefect stressed that this ambulance belongs to the people and should only be used when needed.

Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, the President of the National Assembly of Cameroon since 1992, was born on January 1, 1940 in Mada, the Borough of Tokombere Department of Mayo-Sava in the Far North Region of Cameroon, where he is Chief superior of Mada-Lamido.

He often increases the number of donations he makes and promote the implementation of projects for the benefit of the people of his district of origin.
