CUIB president welcomes students

Welcoming students on reopenings is a tradition Catholic University Institute of Buea, CUIB, does to depict its Communion philosophy.

Practicing this philosophy of sharing, the management of CUIB recently presented books and pens to each student of the institution as they prepare to take up classes for the 2014/2015 school year. These gifts were presented during the official welcoming of freshmen and returning students which took place at the EoC village.

Addressing the students the pro-chancellor, Rev. Fr. George Nkeze proclaimed students as VIP's of the institution and challenged them to be representatives of CUIB, by exhibiting excellence, entrepreneurship, values of the Economy of Communion amongst others as these are core to the flagship traditions of the university.

He further enlightened the students on the upcoming congregation event and called on all students to contribute to make it grand and successful.

At the close of the ceremony, freshmen were taken for a tour at the Wokaka campus of the institution.
