Bepanda: 28-year-old lady electrocuted

The sudden death of 28-year-old Cathy L. in the Bepanda neighbourhood of Douala has left residents in fear as they say the incident could happen to anyone.

The mother of a two-year-old baby was electrocuted while scrubbing her floor on Friday, October 30, 2015. The incident happened when she tried to move a fan in order to clean the area it occupied.

The distress cry of neighbours triggered the arrival of men of the Judicial Police and the Bepanda Gendarmerie Post. After taking statements, the corpse was transported to the Laquintinie Hospital Mortuary.
