Bamenda : Abangoh orphanage in receives donation

The Children’s Home International charity offered foodstuff and learning material.

The recent celebration of the 2015 United Nations Universal Children’s Day inspired generosity from Yaounde-based Children’s Home International, CHI, organization when it made a donation to the Abangoh Orphanage in Bamenda in the North West Region. This comprised learning material, sacks of rice, groundnut oil, salt, biscuits, a First Aid box, some cash and  messages that mobilized and encouraged the youths  to become nation-builders.

It was a rare moment for the President of the Children’s Home, Abosi Muma, to share values of love, brotherliness, hard work and discipline, to help the orphans fulfil their dreams. CHI Secretary General, Ndimuh Derick Nkeh, revealed that the organisation was out to enhance the living conditions of children below 18. Children’s Home International mobilises local and international donors to assist underprivileged children. The organisation, which has already taken firm roots in the Centre, North West and South West Regions, plans to reach out to over two million children in Cameroon by 2020.

It was against this back drop that Rev. Sister Jane of the Abangoh Orphanage saluted all efforts that give orphans reason to hope.  She sounded off about the orphanage that helps to put smiles on the faces of needy children. Rev. Sister Jane hailed Children’s Home International for its gesture of care and kindness. One of the orphans, Aben Citus, said the gifts were most welcome because the children lack clothing, medical care, food and tuition fees. Curtains later dropped on the event with the orphans showcasing rare skills in song and dance.
