Bafoussam: Chief Customs Officer robbed

Isaiah Ngalle Nemangou, Chief Customs Officer of the western region sector, had his office rampaged by burglars who gained access to it through the ceiling according to the July 16, 2015 edition of Le Jour newspaper.

The burglars forcefully opened the first part of the safe in Nemangou's office at Baffoussam before trying to open the second part which contained money collected a few days back.

Unable to steal the money, they tried to take the safe away but were forced to abandon the heavy object a few meters away.

An investigation has started to probe into the issue. The police intend to question the Western Customs employees who were on duty at the time of the attempted burglary.
