This municipality of the South voted a budget of 900 million CFA FRANCS with activities planned around AFCON, across the border.

One month to the start of the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, the town of Ambam in the Department of the Valley of Ntem (South Region) has unveiled its budget for the 2015 fiscal year.

Fixed at 900 (nine hundred) million francs CFA, this budget will be used to take advantage of the next AFCON, according to the statement released Wednesday, December 17, 2014 by the services of Mayor Hyacinthe Mba Mbo.

Ultimately, this budgets relates with the construction of a highways and various facilities to meet the expected demand in the town 220 km from Yaoundé.

The town of Ambam which was connected to Ebolowa in January 2003 by a broad road of regional development project, had never had such opportunity apart from the effects induced from the Comice agropastoral of Ebolowa in January 2011, and the laying of the first stone of the hydro electric dam at Memve'ele in June 2012.

This time, while the AFCON comes to Cameroon after Equatorial Guinea, Ambam wants to capitalize.
