Acefa donates equipment to aid agro pastoral exploitation

54 motorcycles and four cars were handed on Monday by the Acefa program to the organization consultant.

Advisors to the support-Board device of Minader-Minepia of the Sanaga-maritime (Littoral region) and Ndian (South-West) received on Monday at Douala, 54 motorcycles and 4 cars.

The donation is meant to improve the competitiveness of Exploitations familiales agropastorales (Acefa). It aims to facilitate the deployment of the advisers to the producer organisations, and to contribute to the development of family pastoral activities.

For the Acefa, Dr. Bouba Moumine, program national coordinator, it is important that advisers be equipped with gear to follow the producers in the more remote areas, to be closer to them, bring them the lessons necessary for the development of their operations.

The programme also provides for the recruitment of more than 2000 new advisors, 5200 projects of producer organisations, 180 projects of pastoral organizations. 21000 producer groups will be also accompanied.

To edify the Sanaga-Maritime and the Ndian advisors, newly entering the program, the national coordinator returned to the project as a whole through a presentation. It consists of three components: the Council support, the financing of projects and professionalization of agropastoral platforms.
