52 billion F awarded to the urban community of Douala in 2015

According to Fritz Ntonè Ntonè, the delegate of the Government with the Cud, this budget has a specific objective: the improvement of the living conditions of the populations of Douala. For this purpose, a focus will be on highways, transport, commercial spaces, hygiene and safety, health etc.

In terms of the development of roads, the start of the construction of certain links has already been anticipated. Work will also continue for the rehabilitation of Cimetière-Alpicam, a 2900 linear metres, axis on the side of Mambanda (Douala IV).

Other routes will also undergo developments; the access to the obstetrics and pediatric hospital in Yassa, Ndogpassi Industrial Zone, King Njoya to New Bell etc.

In the transport sector, improvements are also recorded: thus, the assistance of Cud to Socatur company permitted them to acquire minibuses for the mobility of people.

Merchant spaces are envisaged in the budget. According to the delegate, none meets the regulatory standards. Rehabilitations and reconstructions are therefore planned within the budget.

The fight against urban disorder will intensify, with the provision of household garbage, and more awareness. Social housing are being finished and others in a construction project.
