49 billion CFA francs at the disposal of the CUD

Fritz Ntonè Ntonè Fritz Ntonè Ntonè

This was the opinion of the Government delegate to the Communauté Urbaine de Douala (CUD), Fritz Fritz Ntonè Ntonè, who was speaking at a meeting with managers who have to carry out projects falling within the jurisdiction of CUD on September 23.

For the Mayor of Douala, execution of the economic capital projects which are in their portfolio could spend all their money in only three months.

Le Quotidien de l’Economie of Friday, September 25 indicated that Fritz Ntonè Ntonè said to service providers that: "we are in liquidity. It must be said. We are expecting the mandates. There are billions in the Bank. It is more than 49 billion to spend before the end of the year. All that money wants borrowers".

Shortcuts

All companies that won contracts in Douala, must now make a fast move: "we must move fast. When we aim at development, there is the need to go fast, take shortcuts. The delays you have are delays of laziness. There are some who take 04 months for work that can be done in one month. Lengthy delays disrupt the work. In serious developed countries, there is noise day and night. Work is done even at night, it is true that there is a mission of control but people in Douala are not afraid of noises," prescribed Fritz Ntonè Ntonè.

Three months to the end of the 2015 fiscal year, the government delegate to the Douala urban council is more pressed than ever. For him, the work should be carried out not only in the night for those who are able, but even on Sunday because "we took the commitment to improve the handling of your accounts", he promised to the various service providers to which he took the pains to reassure. "Be sure that you are very important actors. When we finish a road, it is the people who are happy, it is for your good.

Measures

The journal indicated that the delay observed is related to the delay in the procurement and, above all, the difficulties of some companies to climb their records to respond to competitive bidding. In order that this no longer arises in the future, "we will edit a booklet of the provider to improve the mounting of folders", announced the Government delegate at the end of his meeting with managers who must carry out projects falling within the jurisdiction of the CUD.
