Four new authorities have been installed at the University of Yaoundé I by Maurice Aurélien Sosso, who urged them to maintain the trust placed on them by the head of state, Paul Biya.

Prof. Jacqueline Ze Mazibuko, the first woman appointed by the head of state as Dean the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaoundé I, was left short of words.

The colleagues of the former Vice-Dean, in charge of programming and monitoring of academic activities in the same University, had wanted to embrace her in order to celebrate this historic promotion. Besides Pr. Ze Minkande Ze Mazibuko who replaced Pr. Côme Ebana Mvogo, called to other duties, was the new Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Pr. Louis Martin Onguene Essono. He was previously the technical advisor of the University. He replaced Richard Laurent Omgba, who was called to other duties. During the same ceremony, Pr. Joseph Marie Zambo Belinga, new Technical Advisor and Pr. Bitjong Ndombol, Director of Academic Affairs were also installed in their new duties.

The Rector urged the men and women, knead with experience and who are already familiar for many years on the Hill of knowledge, to preserve the trust placed on them by the head of State, Paul Biya. “I urge you to demonstrate dedication and self-sacrifice to favour institutional, not personal interests. You must well perpetuate knowledge and take perspectives for the development of the University of Yaoundé I,” he said.

In the same vein, Pr. Maurice Aurélien Sosso insisted on due diligence in processing records and academic acts, on the efficiency of public expenditure, implementing digital and the internationalization of the University, among other requirements.
