The new operation “Occupation Jeunes " will keep Douala clean during their months of employment.

The Douala City Council (Cud) hosted last Friday 222-schools youth from the 3rd wave of 2015 for the "Occupations Youth" program. Divided into four groups in various workshops, "general cleanliness", "Fight against urban disorder", "Force Account" are all works involved in giving back to the city a rosy economic picture.

In the workshop on general cleanliness, for example, young people are going to weed, handle sanitation, etc. Work on governance will take place mostly in-house. This is the production of paving stones, concrete blocks, in short, everything the urban community needs in the field of work... These youth will also fight against urban disorder (removal of posters and other posters that dirty the city).

Fritz Ntone Ntone, government delegate of the Urban Community of Douala, accompanied by his 4th assistant Louis Lucien Mandengue, encouraged newcomers to the Cud family, and reassured them about the ongoing support of the urban community services.

All measures have also been taken to ensure that the rain is not an obstacle to the smooth running of their work on the ground. The “Youth Occupations” created in 2008, aims to fight against poverty and unemployment. This initiative employs every month, unemployed graduates, students and the street children.
