1,196 Enset teachers receive end of course certificates

A total number of 1,196 Dipet I and Enset II teachers have received their end of course certificates at Georges Walter Ngango Amphitheater at the University of Douala.

Holders of the Baccalaureate were trained on administrative techniques, science and techniques, management economics, social and family economy and science education over a period of 3 years.

The category of teachers under the Dipet II (Bachelor's degree) received the same training but for two (2) years.

These new graduate teachers are now ready to teach at secondary schools and technical colleges.

Three speeches punctuated the ceremony presided over by the Secretary General of the region, Ludovic Etienne Nbgwa, in the presence of the Rector of the institution, Dieudonne Oyono.

The tone was set by the president of Dipet I, who thanked the Faculty for the quality tutoring and the efforts made to improve the quality of the courses. "We will be the light of those who are in darkness," he said.

Claude Bekolo, Director of Enset emphasised on self-denial at work saying, "You have the competence, knowledge and virtues to impart onto the sheep as you'll lead them in the coming months as shepherds. He also praised the enthusiasm of teachers and colleagues.

However, he expressed the need for an educational plan and the provision of advanced tools to improve the course. Dieudonne Oyono listened to the grievances of the heads of the Enset, notably on developments and promised to adapt the course to current and emerging trends as part of the training needs.
