The Minister of Communication said that the President of the CPP party is in the learning phase.

During the press conference at the Ministry of Communication on April 2, 2016, Issa Tchiroma had to respond to allegations that make Cameroon the second most dangerous country in the world. An accusation he rejected all but did not stop there.

Issa Tchiroma Bakary also denounced the attitude of some leaders of political parties of the opposition. He recalled that “nobody should ignore the law.” He dwells on the fact that Edith Kah Walla, the President of the Cameroon People’s Party (CPP) would have mistaken the mode of action.

This is because “she is still in the learning phase in politics.” “The spokesman of the government said that the UPC, the Universe party, the MRC, had to request for authorization from the administrative authority,” as written in the Emergence newspaper of April 4, 2016.

The Minister of Communication said that the CPDM has always complied with the will of the administrative authority regarding the organization of public events. The Chairman of the National Front for the Status of Cameroon (ACFTU) has also said that journalists could feel the reality of work in progress, “promise of the President of the Republic.”

According to Issa Tchiroma, if the political parties of the “Stand Up for Cameroon” movement requested permission to organize their press conference, the S.D.O of Yaounde IV would’ve never banned the demonstration and the police would’ve never intervened.

Other topics covered by journalists were among others, the revision of the Constitution, the anticipation of the presidential election, the electric power cuts, the shortage of drinking water, cases of babies and mothers died in public hospitals, etc.
