Prez Biya creates more CPDM sections: expells "recalcitrant" militants

The National Chairman of the ruling Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement (CPDM) President Paul Biya (81) has on Tuesday morning in Yaoundé created new sections and sub sections within his party.

The Cameroonian dictator also did expel some militants of the CPDM whom reports say had threatened to unseat him. Cameroon Concord has been reliably informed that the Biya decision is a follow up to the recommendations earlier made by the disciplinary commission that was put in place since December 5, 2013 charged with maintaining party discipline as a consequence of the unhealthy rivalry and bitterness that rocked the CPDM during the municipal and parliamentary elections of September 30, 2013.

What is now popularly known within CPDM circles as the Mafany Musonge Commission submitted its findings ages ago but was however neglected by the CPDM hierarchy.

The emergence of the Boko Haram insurgence coupled with recent internal divisions between the Grand South and Grand Nord political elites, the political bureau finally succeeded in getting President Biya to implement the Musonge plan.

167 new CPDM units were created today with the Republic of Chad and Italy accorded new sections. Below is the new CPDM Section arithmetic: Adamawa Region: 9
Centre Region: 34
East: 23
Extreme Nord: 30
Littoral: 26
Nord Region: 11
North West: 10
South West: 7
South Region: 15
President Biya also sanctioned some militants of his ruling crime syndicate. To be sure, 165 militants have been put under a watchful list.

12 militants did receive letters reminding them of the rules and regulations governing the CPDM. 38 militants were issued warning letters.

44 CPDM members were temporary suspended for 6-18 months and above all, 8 were summarily dismissed from the party. Cameroon Concord gathered that all the 8 expelled from the CPDM hail from the Moungo Section in the Littoral constituency.

This new creation clearly indicates that Anglophones do not have any place in Biya’s calculations and by extrapolation-Cameroon.
