Kah Walla arrested, locked up in Yaounde

A "Black Friday" for the number 1 of the Cameroon People’s’ Party (CPP). This woman of the opposition is in the meshes of the security forces since the early hours of this April 8, 2016.

To believe a service member of the Communication of the political party that Camer.be reached on the phone, Edith Kah Walla was arrested on the morning of Friday, April 8, 2016, in the Yaounde neighborhood called “Biyem-Assi Acacias“.

She was accompanied by Prof Alain Fogué, lecturer of political science at the University of Yaounde II – Soa, and also a major of the MRC, Prof. Maurice Kamto‘s party.

The communicator of the CPP said that Ms. Edith Kah Walla who was arrested with Alain Fogué as she hitched up with the militants of her party, for the distribution of pamphlets calling on Yaounde residents to observe a “Black Friday”.

Given the different political maneuvers being hatched in Cameroon as a probable constitutional amendment calling for early presidential elections and calls for Paul Biya, in power for 34 years now to still rerun.

By the time of publishing this news, the communicator of the CPP indicated that Edith Kah Walla and other persons arrested were still in custody at the headquarters of the Judicial Police located at the Elig-Essono neighborhood in Yaounde. They will be there for at least 48 hours depending on the charges that they are being accused of.
